Khao Sok National Park is a nature reserve located in the Southern part of Thailand. It’s best known for it’s ancient rainforest, limestone cliffs and diverse wildlife.
Apart from the major tourist attractions there are plenty of small activities you can do around this beautiful nature reserve. Anything from kayaking, hiking and jungle trekking to an authentic Thai cooking class experience!
If you are staying in Khao Sok for a few days, like good food and looking for something different to do we strongly recommend you take this class! We absolutely loved it!
Based on some research we have chosen a place called Rungfah Farm Stay and couldn’t be happier with our choice!! This place is run by a lovely family of four. You, his lovely wife Tim and 2 daughters. It has the best location and it has been built entirely by You and his family! How amazing is that?!
The minute we arrived at the farm stay we felt very welcomed as if we were a part of the family. We have been given a detailed tour around this beautiful place and learned about all sorts of fruits and herbs that are growing there.
We also did some fun activities like removing the coconut from it’s nuts and feeding some huge fish in their pond.
After we collected all the ingredients we started prepping and learnt how to cook a few delicious dishes. Everything was cooked with natural products that are grown on the farm. And instead of plates the dishes were served on a banana leaf and in a dish made entirely out of bamboo. They not only looked beautiful but tasted delicious too!
If you wanted to experience this place a bit more, you could stay in one of their lovely bamboo bungalows. You can book them by phone, Facebook or e-mail.
